A prayer to never let yourself stay sad
Dear, Dear Someone, _
The weight of sadness can feel like a heavy blanket, wrapping around your heart and dimming the light in your eyes. It's a feeling that threatens to become a permanent state, a shadow that follows you through your days.
You may find yourself struggling against this sadness, trying to push it away or ignore its presence. But the more you resist, the more it seems to persist, leaving you feeling drained and discouraged.
Sadness is but a cloud passing over the sun of our joy; acknowledge its presence, but never forget the light that awaits behind it.
There are moments when giving in to this sadness feels easier than fighting it. The temptation to let it become your new normal is strong, as if accepting it might somehow lessen its impact.
In these times of struggle, let the words of Psalm 30:5 bring you hope:
"For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning."
